Hey Brandon, sorry for the late reply.  Welcome and I hope you can find something useful here, or at least a connection to people and resources.  I hope to be making a few more how-to videos so maybe you can get something started on the islands?

welcome to AMGRASS, hopefully you find something of interest and helpful here.
Feel free to share anything you might think is helpful with us, especially videos, those seem to be in short supply.

Events / Re: 2014 International Event Schedules

So I'm guessing that in the grand scheme of international Motogymkhana, Jage is the top of the heap? Do they establish policy and set the rules for the rest of us to follow?

I will let Duncan speak for his organization, but we do not follow any other policy.  AMGRASS is a good bit different than other gymkhana organizations in that we emphasize skill-building rather than competition, that is as far as I can see(I have never participated in any other events but our own).

It also appears there are a few more differences:
-membership based, club-like activities, while our events are open to the public and free(after signing a waiver)
-limited number of runs at timed events VS. most of our timed events are unlimited (except for closing time, which usually there are only a few riders still on the course)
- we offer free coaching at EVERY event, not sure about others?

Similarities:
-color-code cones (JAGE) just in case we ever compete :)
-timed runs
-we share course layouts(you can never have too many)
-we like videos, riding quickly around cones, and trying to improve our riding.

What did I leave out?

Duncan may have better background info on other outfits also, I believe he is writing the book:)
