Course catalog
« on: August 23, 2012, 10:26:23 PM »
Hello all, Safetyguy here.  I'm a new guy to the site and am looking at attempting to set something up here in Oklahoma City.  Mentioned in the posts was a catalog of courses.  Has that been finalized yet and is it available?  I have access to an Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) range but I'm also looking for other parking lots that would be more available.  Please let me know if a book or file is available.  Thanks

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of Moto Gymkhana! The standard course catalogue is almost ready to be published and we will make sure that it gets circulated as widely as possible.

The great thing about the Adachi (c) System for course layout and design is the ease with which courses can be set to suit the amount of Tarmac available and the skill level of the riders. The catalogue can never be fixed as people are always coming up with new and interesting obstacles which riders from other countries would always like to have a go at.

A good example is an obstacle called a Belgian Spiral and as its name suggests was devised by our friends in Belgium and once we had found out about it we used it in one of our recent competitions to great effect!

This video shows one of our riders entering the spiral at 1:20

The very definition of decreasing radius curve!  I love it!

Here's the diagram for the Belgian Spiral. Have a go at riding it and let me know how you get on.

Thanks.  I have to get my shed done before I get to go play, but it should be done this weekend.  I viewed the clip and got confused.  I think once I get to play a little, I hope it clicks
